VIRTUAL EXHIBIT: NEW SCHOOL

Alex Bozikovic and Ryerson University DAS

Giaimo’s exploration of how Davisville Public School could have been renovated and expanded instead of demolished is featured in the virtual exhibition, New School: Modern architecture and public education in Toronto, 1943-1975. This exhibition, by curated by Alex Bozikovic and presented by Ryerson University Department of Architectural Science, explores an important legacy of Modernism in Toronto: the roughly 300 school buildings constructed in Metropolitan Toronto in the three decades after the Second World War. Check out the virtual exhibit here.
