ULI 2023 Spring Meeting

Giaimo joined thousands of colleagues at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) 2023 Spring Meeting hosted in Toronto, Canada. The mission of the ULI: Shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Creative Director Stephanie Mah and Associate Mitchell May were guest speakers at the ULI Redevelopment and Reuse Council Day. We started off with a tour of the Riverside neighbourhood looking at the history and evolution of the neighbourhood, and Streetcar projects to come including Smith Block by Giaimo and Broadview and Eastern by CEBRA and Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning. The next day was filled with knowledge sharing, and we presented alongside Meghan Elliott (New History), Justin Aykler (GRID Developments), and Eve Lewis (Woodcliffe Landmark Properties) about the opportunities and challenges of heritage conservation projects.
